I just can’t wait any longer to share my latest project!
In my family, we have a table and 6 matching chairs that have made the rounds, and each one has recovered the chairs to make them her own. Well, about a year ago, I found my turn with this beautiful set, but couldn’t quite decide what I wanted for the new cushions. Until…..a few weeks ago, I found what I wanted! I’m in love with this fabric
, and I found it at Hobby Lobby (a store I frequent). Here’s the finished product.
Well, of course, there was leftover material that must be used, right?
In the meantime, my daughter has gotten to the point that we needed a highchair. My parents generously offered my old highchair for her use. It is a wonderful old fashioned wooden chair with wooden tray. When I say wonderful, I mean better than wonderful…..magnificent!
Lightbulb!
The highchair needs a cushion too….and I have leftover material from the kitchen chairs!!!! Woo Hoo….. After racking my brain (I’m new to sewing), I decide to just start drawing and cutting and hopefully it’ll work out. In the end, what I made was basically 2 slightly stuffed pillows with ribbons for tying onto the chair. I am very proud of it, and I hope that it inspires you to make something that you’ll be just as proud of.
